Jiyan is a 5-star character from Wuthering Waves and is the first character in the game’s Promotional Banner and as it could not be otherwise, the truth is that she is a very good character although she will probably end up falling a little behind as is tradition in the Porridge with the first characters of the Promotional.
He is a Main DPS that deals a lot of damage, especially when he activates his Resonance Release in which he enters an enhanced state for a few seconds in which he will perform powerful Charged ATK combos with his Basic ATKs that hit in the area and also absorb the small enemies.
The best thing about the character is that he is good for both Single Target and Multi Target (so he is suitable in any situation), although it is true that he is the typical character that when he is not in his enhanced mode loses a lot of potential.
JIYAN’S ABILITIES
BASIC ATK: SOLITARY SPEAR
- Basic ATK : Combo of 5 consecutive melee attacks.
- Charged ATK : A forward charge that deals more damage.
- Charged ATK – Aerial Strike and Abyssal Slash : If you hold the Charged ATK for a long time, Jiyan will perform an ATK in which she will rise into the air. After this you can perform basics to deliver a blow in the air and then plummet to the ground to continue performing basic combos.
- Air ATK : If you attack in the air you will dive towards the ground causing damage.
- Evasive Counter : You must perform a basic attack after performing a perfect dodge to perform a powerful counterattack.
RESONANCE SKILL: WIND CONTROLLER
A short forward crap in which we will hit several times quickly, you can also launch the skill in the air.
FORTE CIRCUIT: QINGLOONG AT WAR
The Circuit bar of Jiyan’s Forte is called ” Stubbornness “, we can increase the bar by using his Basic ATK and through the Enter Skill, but be careful because it will gradually decrease if Jiyan does not hit an enemy within 15s.
If we perform the Resonance Skill having completely filled at least one of its bars (it has 2 separate bars), this skill will cause 20% more damage and will consume said bar (one segment, not both). During its enhanced Resonance Release mode, the Resonance Skill will increase its damage the same way, but will not consume Stubbornness.
- Resonance Release – Emerald Storm – Final : If we cast Resonance Release having filled at least one of the Stubborn bars, we will launch a powerful area attack upon entering empowered mode that will be considered a Charged ATK. We will consume one of the Obstinacy bars in the process.
RESONANCE RELEASE: EMERALD STORM – PRELUDE
We will enter an enhanced mode in which it gains greater resistance to interruption and in which our Basic, Charged ATK and Evasive Counterattack will be replaced by a Charged ATK called “Qingloong’s Spear”.
- Qingloong Spear : A combo of attacks that are considered Charged ATK that hit in a fairly wide area to be melee. These attacks “absorb” small enemies.
INTRO SKILL: TACTICAL STRIKE
Jiyan will enter the field by piercing the target in the air.
FINAL SKILL: SELF CONTROL
By rotating an ally having filled the circle that indicates that we can now use the Ending and Intro Skills, we will apply a buff that lasts 8s to the ally that will mean that when he uses a Charged ATK, Jiyan will perform a quite powerful coordinated ATK that can occur a maximum of 2 times.
INHERENT SKILLS: PASSIVE
- Heavenly Tenacity : Jiyan gains +10% ATK for 15s when using her Intro Skill.
- Tamed Tempest : +12% CRIT Damage for 8s when hitting a target.
WAVE BANDS
- BO1 – Benevolence : The Resonance Skill gains an additional charge and when using it after having filled at least one Obstinacy bar, we will consume half the points of said bar.
- BO2 – Versatility : Jiyan gains one of the Stubborn bars when using the Enter Skill and increases her ATK by 28% for 15s. It can only occur once every 15s.
- BO3 – Spectation : +16% CRIT Chance and +32% CRIT Damage for 8s after using the Resonance Skill, Resonance Release, Intro Skill or Final Skill.
- BO4 – Prudence : +25% Charged ATK damage to the entire team for 30s when casting Resonance Release.
- BO5 – Resolve : Increases the damage multiplier of Final Skill hits by 120%. Attacks that hit Jiyan’s enemies grant him +3% ATK for 8s that can stack up to 15 times; When using the Enter Skill you will immediately gain the maximum ATK% bonus.
- BO6 – Fortitude : When using a Charged ATK, Intro Skill or Resonance Skill you gain a stack of “Momentum”, this can stack 2 times. Using Resonance Release consuming one of the Stubborn bars will increase the damage bonus of the initial damage we deal when activating the empowered mode by 120% for each stack of “Momentum” consumed.
HOW TO PLAY JIYAN
It is a Main DPS and that is why we want to give it all the boosts we can before starting to hit with it. Once on the field, your thing is to use Basic ATK and cast the Resonance Skill when you can (although it would be better not to do so if you do not want to consume one of its Obstinacy bars, those of Cirucuito del Forte, in case you want to cast Resonance Release coming soon).
The Resonance Release is best used having a Stubborn bar to start with a big hit and after that you perform basic combos (which will be considered Charged ATK even if they are basic) and the Resonance Skill at DC (in this enhanced mode it will not consume Stubbornness ). Rotate to other characters when you’ve filled the circle that activates Final and Intro Skills, and perform at least a couple of Charged ATK hits with the character you switch to to take advantage of Jiyan’s Final Skill.
