” You Just Have to Wait ” is a five-star Cone of Light from Honkai Star Rail and despite being a Cone created mainly to empower Kafka, that doesn’t mean it’s only useful for her (it seems that kind of thing happens more often in Genshin Impact than in Star Rail).
In fact, it is a Cone with such versatile and “generic” effects (in a good way) that we could almost say that any character from the Path of Nihility can take advantage of it, although of course there are characters that will get much more out of it than others; but come on, it is undoubtedly a very good Cone of Light, there is no doubt about that.
In this post we will see in depth all the kit that this Cone of Light gives us and after this, as always, we will tell you which characters can take advantage of it the most. Let’s go there!
ATTRIBUTES OR STATISTICS OF “YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT”
Let’s start looking at its basic attributes, keep in mind that we will give you the data it has at level 80 (the maximum):
- HP : 1058
- ATK : 582
- DEF : 463
Now we go with the passive that is what really interests us:
- S1 : +24% Damage, each attack of the wearer will increase their Speed by 4.8% (max 3 stacks) and 100% Base Chance to affect enemies with “Erosion”, a Damage Over Time that is considered Electrocution that will deal 60% Lightning Damage for 1 turn. Erosion cannot stack.
- S5 : +40% Damage, each attack of the wearer will increase their Speed by 8% (max 3 stacks) and 100% Base Chance to affect enemies with “Erosion”, a Damage Over Time that is considered Electrocution that will deal 100% Lightning Damage for 1 turn. Erosion cannot stack.
As you can see, it is a Cone of Light that greatly increases Damage and also Speed, attributes that all characters generally take advantage of, although of course some more than others.
But, in addition to this, we can also add one more DoT to our characters’ arsenal. This DoT , despite being called “Erosion”, the game interprets it as an Electrocution DoT , something that we will have to take into account below in the “Recommended Characters” section.
But pay attention to one thing and that is that this DoT cannot stack unlike what happens with most Damage Over Time effects (it does not count as a stack of Electrocution since in the end it has another name), the good thing It is that we can apply it to other enemies as long as we use an area attack.
WHICH CHARACTER TO EQUIP IT TO?
The key to getting a lot out of this Cone of Light is mainly equipping it to a Nihility character who stands out for having good damage (and I’m not referring to Damage Over Time since the bonus is to Standard Damage).
For the rest, to finish optimizing it, the characters that attack in the area will also take better advantage of it due to the fact that they can apply the special DoT of this Cone to more enemies at once and if the character also has some kind of bonus in the face of Electrocutions, because it would already be the “cherry on the cake.”
It’s Kafka ‘s Cone of Light , so no one will be surprised by this. He has very good standard damage, Speed is extremely useful for him to cause more damage and apply more DoTs and he is also a character who benefits a lot from having more Electrocutions on the enemy (and in general from enemies having a lot of DoTs), so that fits like a glove.
Welt also stands out for having very good damage through his abilities. In addition, being faster is also very interesting in this character since his role is to slow down enemies (we will slow them down more often and there will also be a greater contrast of Speed with respect to that of the enemies thanks to the increases in this attribute of the Pussy).
The DoT is also a good addition since he has many area attacks, so he can apply it to many enemies to increase his damage a bit, although it is also true that since we will slow down the enemies, they will take longer to receive the damage from the DoTs .
Now let’s see other characters that could take it but do not take advantage of it as much as the ones above:
- Silver Wolf : Damage and Speed are great for him, that’s for sure. But… on the one hand, being such a Single Target character, he will not take advantage of that DoT as much and on the other we have other more interesting options in order to increase his usefulness to the group such as ” Incessant Rain “, ” Before the Tutorial Mission Begins ” or « Shimmering Determination ».
- Luka : Mainly again because the Damage and Speed increase will come in handy. An additional DoT of course also comes in handy, but this is also a very Single Target character, so in that sense he takes less advantage of it than the above; which does not mean that it is still a very good Cone for him.
- Sampo : It is undoubtedly one of his best Cones of Light, but it is also true that many other characters will take better advantage of it for having a better “Standard Damage”, so even though it is great for him, it would be on the priority list one of the last characters you should put it on.
