by « Today Is Another Quiet Day » is a Cone of Light belonging to the Path of Erudite in Honkai Star Rail . This Cone of Light is one of the options that we can choose as a reward when we reach level 30 of Unsung Glory (the Battle Pass) after acquiring it.
It stands out for having a higher Base ATK than many other Light Cones of the Way of Erudite such as “The Solemnity of Breakfast” or “The Birth of the Self”, but in exchange it has a reduced base DEF and a few less HP.
At first I thought it was a very bad Cone of Light that only gave you a buff depending on the amount of energy your character had at any given time, but the good thing about this cone is that it only takes into account the energy cost of the Skill Definitive for the damage bonus that its passive gives us.
ATTRIBUTES OR STATISTICS OF “TODAY IS ANOTHER QUIET DAY”
Let’s start by looking at its basic attributes, keep in mind that we will give you the data that it has at level 80 (the maximum):

Now let’s go with the passive, which is what really interests us:
- The damage dealt by the wielder of this Cone of Light increases based on their maximum energy. It will boost your damage by 0.20% (0.40% at S5) for each point of maximum energy you have, up to a maximum of 160 points.
This wonderful passive will allow us to increase the damage of any character who equips this Cone of Light based on the energy cost of their Ultimate Skill ; The higher the cost, the greater the damage benefit the character takes.
For example, if a character has an Ultimate Skill cost of 160 points, their damage would increase by 32% while a character with an Ultimate Skill cost of 100 points would boost their damage by 20%.
The best thing about “Today is Another Quiet Day” is that its bonus is permanent and we will have it during all turns in all battles, since this bonus only depends on the amount of energy a character needs to fill their Ultimate Skill.
WHAT CHARACTER DID I EQUIP IT TO?
The higher the energy cost of the Ultimate Skills of the characters to whom we want to equip this Cone of Light, the more benefit we will get from it:
Qingque is a character with a terribly expensive Ultimate Skill that takes a lot of work to recharge, the good thing about having such a high cost is that by equipping him with this Cone of Light it will be transformed into higher damage and he will take advantage of it better than many other characters.
Having a cost of about 140 points, this would translate into a permanent damage increase of 28% if we have this Cone of Light in S1 and 56% if we have it in S5.
Jing Yuan has an energy cost of 130 points for his Ultimate Skill, a cost that is also quite high and therefore we can get a greater damage bonus with this character than with others like Herta or Serval who have a somewhat lower cost.
Having a cost of about 130 points, this would translate into a permanent damage increase of 26% if we have this Cone of Light in S1 and 52% if we have it in S5.

- Himeko : She can use it perfectly but the energy cost of her Ultimate Skill is 120 points, so she would get a 24% increase in damage with this Cone of Light at S1; which is not bad at all but that we can achieve with « The Solemnity of Breakfast » in S5, which is an F2P Cone of Light that we can refine very easily.
