IS THE PATH OF THE HUNTRESS WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

IS THE PATH OF THE HUNTRESS WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

Today we are going to review the Path of the Huntress in Genshin Impact , the first five-star weapon to come from the Sumeru region.

This bow gives us many advantages: a fairly decent Elemental Damage Bonus, a very high Critical Chance and a damage increase to Charged Attacks based on the amount of Elemental Mastery that our character has; however, it has a fairly low Base Attack which leaves a lot to be desired.

It is a weapon that really seems quite good to me but unfortunately the effect of its Passive Ability and its low Base Attack mean that there are not many characters that can get the most out of it.

ATTRIBUTES OF THE PATH OF THE HUNTRESS IN GENSHIN IMPACT

Let’s start by looking at its attributes:

  • Base Attack Level 1: 44.
  • Base Attack Level 90: 541.

Within five-star bows it ranks lowest in terms of Base Attack (in fact these numbers are typical of four-star bows), but this is because its secondary stat is outrageously high.

  • Critical Chance Level 1: 9.6%.
  • Critical Chance % Level 90: 44.1%.

His secondary stat will be very useful to us, since it will give us a 44.1% Critical Chance at level 90 ; Thanks to this high amount, we will hardly need to look for this stat in artifacts so that the character we equip it to has a decent amount of probability.

The Path of the Huntress Passive Skill grants the following effects:

  • Provides 12% (24 on R5) to all Elemental Damage Bonuses.
  • When hitting an enemy with a Charged Attack we will obtain the «Relentless Hunting» effect, this effect will increase the damage of the Charged Attacks by 160% of the Elemental Mastery (320% in R5) that its bearer possesses, the effect will last 10 seconds or until you execute a total of 12 Charged Attacks. The Relentless Hunt effect can only be obtained once every 12 seconds.

The Elemental Damage bonus is something that is always appreciated, it is also permanent and we will always have it at our disposal (it is the same effect that we have in the Passive Ability of the Celestial Scroll ).

The other effect will scale the damage of our Charged Attacks based on the amount of Elemental Mastery we have; It is a very good effect that can significantly increase the damage of our blows, but unfortunately there are not many characters that can take advantage of this effect and it makes it a very specific weapon in terms of candidates to equip it.

WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?

In this case we will look for a character who occupies the position of Main DPS in the team and who makes powerful Charged Attacks; In addition, we will need that character to take advantage of Elemental Mastery because we will need him to have enough points of this stat to be able to take advantage of the increase in damage to Charged Attacks based on Elemental Mastery.

Tignari in Genshin Impact

Logically, this bow works perfectly with Tignari , since one of his Passive Talents increases the damage of his Charged Attacks by 0.06% for each point of Elemental Mastery he possesses and if we add to this the Hunting effect Tireless that this bow gives him, we’re translating Tignari’s amount of Elemental Mastery into a very beastly increase to his Charged Attacks.

In addition, thanks to its Elemental Ability we will be able to take advantage of the ten seconds that the Relentless Hunting effect lasts more efficiently, since this Elemental Ability will allow us to execute up to 3 Charged Attacks almost simultaneously thanks to the reduction in charge time conferred by the Vijnana Area .

We can also take advantage of the high Critical Chance rate provided by the secondary stat of the Path of the Huntress, which will give us almost all the chance we need (especially if your Tignari is C1) and we can focus on finding other stats on our artifacts like Elemental Mastery or Critical Damage.

Ganyu in Genshin Impact

Another good candidate for this arc would be Ganyu ; with this bow we have practically all the Critical Chance we need and it will give us room to look for other stats in artifacts, since thanks to its passive talent when launching an Icy Arrow it will make the next arrow and its explosion have a 20% Chance to Additional Crit.

But for Ganyu to get the most out of Path of the Huntress we’ll need to run her on a Melt team (because a Frozen team doesn’t take advantage of Elemental Mastery and doesn’t need as much Critical Chance per Winter Dreadnaught ), since we will have to equip him with an Elemental Mastery watch instead of an Attack watch and the Wanderer’s Orchestra four-piece set ; in this way we will have enough Elemental Mastery to take advantage of the increase in damage to Charged Attacks from the passive effect of the weapon.

Although this bow has a low Base Attack, it is not a big problem for Ganyu, since in his Melted team (Ganyu, Zhongli, Xiangling and Bennett) he is usually accompanied by Bennett who will help us to increase his Attack; We can also replace Zhongli with a C6 Diona to gain more Elemental Mastery and increase the damage of Ganyu’s Charged Attacks while on Diona’s ult.
