IS KITAIN'S CROSS WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

IS KITAIN’S CROSS WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

The Cross of Kitain is a spear from Inazuma’s forge in Genshin Impact which will be very useful for those characters who need to have a large amount of Elemental Mastery or for those who depend on their Ultimate Skill and have problems recharging it.

His passive initially consumes a certain amount of Elemental Energy when using the Elemental Skill and then begins to generate Elemental Energy passively, it works exactly the same as the passive skill that Katsuragi’s Assassination has.

Assassination of Katsuragi in Genshin Impact

Katsuragi Murder

+45.9% Energy Recharge. +6% Elemental Skill damage. -3 Elemental Energy when hitting with the Elemental Skill, but in exchange +3 Elemental Energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.

In order to craft this spear, we will have to complete a chain of missions called “The Legacy of Orobashi”, upon completing its fifth part we will obtain the blueprint and we will be able to craft it in exchange for 1 prototype northern spear, 50 pieces of amethyst and 50 pieces of white iron.

ATTRIBUTES OF THE KITAIN CROSS

Let’s start with his statistics:

  • Base Attack Level 1: 44.
  • Base Attack Level 90: 565.

It is one of the four-star spears with the highest Base Attack, except for the Wave Cutter Fin which stands out above all the others in this scope, but it is equal to the Base Attack of other weapons such as the Favonius Spear, the Lithic Spear and the Crescent Moon Spike.

Its secondary attribute would be the following:

  • Elementary Mastery Level 1: 24 points.
  • Elemental Mastery Level 90: 110 points.

Because its Base Attack is high, upgrading this sword to level 90 will only grant 110 Elemental Mastery points to its wielder. It’s not bad at all, but perhaps it would have been better if it had a slightly lower Base Attack and would provide more Elemental Mastery.

His Passive Skill confers the following effect:

  • R1: +6% damage to Elemental Skill. When hitting the enemy with this skill, we will lose 3 points of Elemental Energy, but at the same time we will recover 3 points of Elemental Energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds, even if the character is not active on the battlefield.
  • R5: +12% damage to Elemental Skill. When hitting the enemy with this skill, we will lose 3 points of Elemental Energy, but at the same time we will recover 5 points of Elemental Energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds, even if the character is not active on the battlefield.

In the first instance, it increases the damage of the Elemental Skill a little, but this is only an addition to this weapon, since it is not a big deal.

The most interesting thing is the other part of the passive, since initially it consumes 3 points of Elemental Energy and then restores 3 points every 2 seconds for 6. That is, we will benefit from 6 points of Elemental Energy in the R1 of this weapon.

In this case, if you want to use it for a character, I highly recommend that you refine it to its R5, since this way we can recover 12 points of Elemental Energy with the passive, which would already be a much more significant contribution of energy.

WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT TO?

In this case it is best to look for a character who needs a lot of Elemental Mastery in his build and who has a hard time recharging his Skill Definitive:

Cyno in Genshin Impact

This spear is without a doubt one of the best options F2P for Cyno, since it provides a good balance between Attack and Elemental Mastery, and most importantly, it helps him recharge his Ultimate Skill, which this character must always have recharged (and it takes a lot of work if he is the only character Electro of the team).

The increased damage to his Elemental Skill will not hurt him either, since he will use it a large number of times while he is under the state of his Ultimate Skill.

Thoma in Genshin Impact

Thoma is another character who has many problems when it comes to recharging his Ultimate Skill, which is essential if we have him in a Crackle team. Therefore, this spear will be very beneficial for us to help him have it ready in time and we will also take advantage of Elemental Mastery to increase the damage of the Elemental Crackle Reactions caused by this character.

The only thing that will be quite irrelevant to us will be the damage increase for his Elemental Skill, since it hardly does any damage, but except for that it will be a very good option for him.

Other characters who take advantage of it:

  • Xiangling: He is another character who reloads terribly badly and who also makes a lot of use of Elemental Mastery, but he has a great variety of spear options that will be much better for him, such as Capture or Dragon’s Bane.
  • Shogun Raiden: It is one of the possible options for this character if we take it with a build for Overbloom teams, but Dragon’s Bane and Moonpiercer are superior options for this type of build.
