The point is that this weapon is only useful if we have its wielder on a team in which the Main DPS is a character whose main source of damage is based on continuously performing Falling Attacks, since the main point of the Reverberation of The Crane is to increase the damage produced by this type of attacks, which means that this catalyst is limited only to a very specific team composition.
It is a shame that we can only use this weapon under these conditions, since in addition to increasing the damage of this type of attacks, it also generates a lot of Elemental Energy for its bearer passively, but for this we also depend on another character generating Descending Attacks .
Attributes of the Crane Reverb in Genshin Impact
Let’s start with his statistics:
- Base Attack Level 1 : 49.
- Base Attack Level 90 : 740.
As for Base Attack, I have to say that it is quite surprising and eclipses the vast majority of weapons in Genshin Impact, since the Crane Reverberation is one of the weapons with the highest Base Attack in the entire game along with the Ode of the Pines and the Disaster Peacemaker .

Since its Base Attack is so exaggeratedly high, of course, the amount it provides with its secondary attribute will be quite small and will only grant + 16.56% to its bearer’s Attack when promoted to level 90.

- R1 : When the wielder of this weapon hits an enemy with a Down Attack, the damage of this type of attack is increased by +28% for 20 seconds. When we hit an enemy with a Falling Attack, the wielder of this weapon will recover 2.5 points of Elemental Energy.
- R5 : When the wielder of this weapon hits an enemy with a Down Attack, the damage of this type of attack is increased by +80% for 20 seconds. When we hit an enemy with a Falling Attack, the wielder of this weapon will recover 3.5 points of Elemental Energy.
On the one hand, it greatly increases the damage to the Down Attacks of any of our characters on the team when performing a Down Attack. Something that is very surprising is that the amount of damage increase at high refinements is quite absurd, since in its R5 the bonus almost triples what this catalyst gives us in its R1 (although unfortunately, this is something that only the Whales).
On the other hand, it allows its wearer to recover a large amount of Elemental Energy, since for each Descending Attack we perform, the wearer of the Crane Reverberation will gain 2.5 points of Elemental Energy. If, for example, we go with a character like Xiao who can generate about 10 Downward Attacks during his Ultimate Skill, the wielder of this weapon could recover up to 25 points of Elemental Energy, which would greatly reduce the amount of Energy Recharge needed for the wielder.
Finally, mention that the ToE to recover Elemental Energy is 0.7 seconds between each Falling Attack, but since these do not stand out precisely for being quick to execute, we will not have any problem and we will always receive the Elemental Energy bonus (unless we are in multiplayer with several DPS that execute Descending Attacks).

This catalyst does not have many characters that it matches and it is quite situational, since we must equip it on a character who can perform Descending Attacks easily and who has the Support role , since the main point of this weapon is to support another character whose damage is based on this type of attacks:

In addition, thanks to a Passive Talent of this character, Xianyun’s own Ultimate Skill increases the damage of the Downward Attacks of all the characters in the group depending on the Attack she has. So it is an ideal weapon for her, since the catalyst’s passive will greatly reinforce this damage bonus and the large amount of Attack it gives her will be very useful so that the bonus generated by Xianyun herself is higher.
Finally, Xianyun’s Ultimate Skill has a high Elemental Energy cost, so the second part of this catalyst’s passive that passively generates Elemental Energy when a character performs a Falling Attack will be quite favorable to him.
What’s more, Xianyun’s own Ultimate Skill allows any character to perform this type of attack, so she will always benefit from this effect, even if the character she accompanies cannot generate Downward Attacks on her own.
Other characters who take advantage of it:
- Charlotte : The large amount of Attack that this catalyst gives him is great for increasing the efficiency of his cures and his Ultimate Skill is very expensive, so the Elemental Energy that he will obtain when another character generates a Falling Attack will be very useful. The problem is that to activate the damage bonus for Downward Attacks, Charlotte herself would have to generate an attack of this type, so we would depend on bringing a character like Zhongli or Albedo so that she can perform it without problems.
