GUIDE TO “PURE FICTION” IN HONKAI STAR RAIL

GUIDE TO “PURE FICTION” IN HONKAI STAR RAIL

” Pure Fiction ” is a new permanent High End mode  introduced in Honkai Star Rail, somewhat similar to the “Forgotten Hall” in which every 40 days we can obtain juicy rewards, something that will also depend on how good results we obtain with our characters.

This mode restarts every 4 days and is interspersed with the restarts of the Forgotten Hall. Which implies that every 20 days one will restart or the other will restart, although of course we will always have the 40 days mentioned for each one to get all the rewards we can.

In this post I will tell you in detail how this game mode works and I will also give you tips to make it easy for you to obtain all the rewards (we will also see all the rewards that we can obtain along the way). Keep in mind that in this mode the meta is very different from that of the Forgotten Hall, I will explain now.

HOW IS THIS GAME MODE UNLOCKED?

It’s very simple, you simply have to complete the mission called ” Youci’s Ingenious Decoration “, a mission that you can obtain by having passed the following requirements:

  1. Be at least at balance level 3 : This is something we can unlock at level 30 of Pathfinder (I’m referring to the account levels, not the protagonist’s). It doesn’t take long to reach that level once you start playing.
  2. Having completed the Xianzhou Luofu mission in which we defeated Phantylia the Immortal . You will have to do the main missions in this area and you will end up accessing this mission.

HOW DOES PURE FICTION WORK?

As I already mentioned, the operation is quite similar to the Forgotten Hall. Only in this mode we will have to overcome 4 rooms (at least today, perhaps more rooms will be added later) and each one will be a little more complicated than the last.

Our goal will once again be to get stars in each room, up to a maximum of 3 stars in each of them. Again we will have to select 2 different teams because here there are also 2 different phases for each room.

However, this mode works somewhat differently. Our objective will be to get points that we can obtain by defeating enemies , it is not simply defeating “x” enemies and that’s it, as happens with the Forgotten Hall. Here as we defeat enemies (even if there are some alive on the field) new enemies will appear; They are constant waves in which lots and lots of enemies will appear and here the trick is to defeat as many of them as possible quickly (many of the enemies are very weak and fall quickly, but from time to time they release one that resists more ).

YOUCI’S ROAMING WORDS

Youci's Roaming Words

As in the Forgotten Hall, in each reboot of Pure Fiction we will have different advantages that we will have to take advantage of by choosing the characters that benefit the most from these. In this case we have 2 different types of different and simultaneous advantages :

  • Strange Stories : A fixed buff that we will always obtain.
  • Detuned Melody : A group of 3 different buffs in which we will have to select one of them when creating our teams when trying to create one of the rooms. We will have to choose a buff for each team. Something that some don’t know is that we can choose the same buff twice on each of our two teams.

POINTS AND STARS PER ROOM

We can obtain a maximum of 80K points in each of the rooms (40K maximum in each of the 2 phases), although we do not need to get that much to obtain a 3-star score in a room. These are the stars that we will obtain according to the points we obtain:

  • ⭐: 40K
  • ⭐⭐: 50K
  • ⭐⭐⭐: 60K

For it to be considered that we have passed a room (we will not be able to advance to the next ones if we have not at least passed the previous one), we need 30K points. These points are obtained from the sum of the points we get in both phases (with our two teams).

MOST RECOMMENDED CHARACTERS

Himeko in Honkai Star Rail

Something great about Pure Fiction is that thanks to this mode there are now characters that have acquired great value, especially characters that prior to this inclusion were quite obsolete.

The most benefited characters are mainly Erudite characters since in this game mode what interests us is to have characters that have a lot of area damage in order to quickly eliminate many small enemies. Characters from other routes that have good area damage (Destruction depends, what is interesting is real area damage, the typical attacks that also hit adjacent enemies are not bad, but it is better to use attacks that hit all enemies, not just 3) will also be useful.

In fact, I can already tell you that in this mode Himeko and Herta are two incredible characters since they have a lot of area damage and since we face constant waves of enemies, they will not stop launching additional attacks and will attack many enemies. Anyway, now we go into more detail regarding worthwhile characters, equipment and so on.

Also keep in mind that in this mode it is not so necessary to carry a sustain character (intended for our group to survive, Conservation and Abundance characters, come on) since if we have enough damage with our characters, we will barely They will hit us, which means that teams without Healer and Tank are viable . This will also allow us to obtain better scores since the objective is to eliminate all the enemies we can and unlike the Forgotten Hall, they do not penalize us by taking away a star if they kill a character, so as long as you hold on and make a few points, that’s it.

CHARACTERS AND TEAMS

Herta in Honkai Star Rail

The ideal is to combine DPS characters that cause good area damage with support characters to boost their damage. As we have already mentioned, you can do without sustain , but if you see that the characters can’t stand you, of course you can consider taking one.

As usual, you must take advantage of the enemies’ weaknesses when building equipment in each room. You can create a team of 2 DPS and 2 Support , 3 DPS and a Support , 1 DPS and 3 Supports or if you see it necessary you can add a sustain , but we recommend that you try not to use this type of characters in general.

Now let’s go with highly recommended characters for this mode. Let’s start with DPS characters :

  • Himeko : She has very powerful area damage through her ultimate and also since her Additional Attack depends on causing many Weakness Breaks (even if other characters cause it), as we face many waves of enemies, she will perform them constantly and will sweep away many enemies.
  • Herta : Both her Basic and Ultimate Skills hit all enemies. In addition, his additional attack is activated every time we reduce an enemy’s health below 50%, so he will not stop doing Kuru-kuru Kururín and will eliminate many enemies in the process. Together with Himeko it’s crazy how many enemies you’ll wipe out, but she alone plays an incredible role.
  • Argenti : It has very high area damage. I recommend it a little less because it does not have additional attacks.
  • Clara : Causes a lot of damage through her counterattacks.
  • Serval : Especially for his powerful and inexpensive Ultimate Skill, which of course does area damage.
  • Welt : It’s a hybrid of support and DPS, I didn’t know where to put it, but in the end I’ll put it here. It has good area damage and can help us survive better through its slows and traps.
  • Kafka : Deals good area damage with his Ultimate Skill. It is viable, but it is true that in this mode the DoTs are not as interesting as in others.
  • Jing Yuan : He has a lot of area damage through his Skills, I recommend him less because it is true that he rarely performs additional attacks in this mode compared to other characters such as Himeko or Herta.

Let’s go now with Supports . Keep in mind that in this mode the most valuable Supports are those that boost the entire team simultaneously since it is very common here to have at least 2 DPS :

  • Ruan Mei : It barely consumes Basic Skill points and greatly enhances the damage of the entire team, without a doubt the best support option for this mode.
  • Asta : Also provides advantages for the entire group, where appropriate SPD and ATK%. Additionally, she is good at breaking weaknesses with her Basic Skill. At E6 we can easily keep his ATK% bonus maxed out.
  • Pela : Highly recommended since despite not having much damage, she can eliminate enemies with her Ultimate (which hits in the area), consumes few action points and her application of debuffs to defense will be useful, especially for “Big” enemies fall faster.
  • Bronya : Her Ultimate powers the entire group and her Basic Skill will allow us to advance the action of one of our DPS and enhance its damage.
  • Tingyun : Oddly enough, it is not as recommended in this mode since it is more intended to power up a single character, but it is still an interesting option to power up a single character and help him generate energy to perform more ultimates.

Now sustain characters , but remember that the ideal is not to use them unless you have no other choice. If you are carrying one, we recommend using those that offer offensive support to the group to compensate a little.

  • Huohuo : Heals a lot without the need to invest many Basic Skill Points and provides ATK% and energy for the entire group through his Ultimate Skill.
  • Fu Xuan : It will protect our characters and also improve their Health and Critical Chance.

If you don’t have these characters you can use any other sustain , but these would be the best.

PURE FICTION REWARDS

These are all the rewards that we can obtain in each restart of this game mode, which implies that they are recurring rewards (every 40 days):

  • For simply passing each room : 6x Guide of the Traveling Spirit (to raise the level of the characters), 3x Refined Aether (to raise the level of the Cones of Light), 6x Lost Crystal (to increase the level of Artifacts and Ornaments), 24x Luminous Radiance (to exchange for 4-star Cones of Light in the Express messenger shop) and 30K credits (the in-game currency). You will get these rewards for each room you pass.
  • For getting the first 6 stars : 60 Star Jades (to throw in the gacha) and 20K credits. This for every star.
  • For getting the following stars : The same as in the previous case, but we will also get 100 Jade Feathers (currency that can be exchanged for rewards in the “Prank Shop”) for each star.

Come on, you can get a total of 720 Star Jades in total every 40 days , which is not bad at all.
